Corona effects on my photography
Who’s not talking about it? It keeps us all busy… unfortunately, I’ve also had to decide to close my doors ( for the time being ). Our health is paramount and I can’t always keep the 1.5 meter distance during the photo shoot. I also want to give the customer the experience I normally give, and unfortunately that is not possible now.
I also had to cancel booked photo shoots. Of course this is even more disappointing because some moments (like a pregnancy shoot) you simply can’t redo at a later date.
However, there is a possibility to buy gift vouchers! With that you would help me tremendously in this (financially) difficult time.
The vouchers are normally valid for one year, but if you buy them during the Corona period, I will put another six months on top of the standard time. This way you have plenty of time to plan a photo shoot whenever you want! I have 2 nice gift boxes available, pink and black. It will be festively wrapped and sent to you.
There is also the possibility to order extra photos of a photo shoot you did at Mayera Photography in the past. I have pictures available for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Of course, behind the scenes I’m not going to sit still… It rarely happens that I have no pictures to edit for clients, and my to do list is getting shorter and shorter by day.
At the moment I work with Lightroom to edit my photos, but learning how to use Photoshop has been one of my long term goals for a long time and now seems like a perfect opportunity!
I also like to go through old photo shoots and edit a photo in a different way. Since you change your style and skills year by year it’s interesting to see how pictures shot in the past will look now.
How long ago was it for you that you were able or forced to spend this must time at home, and had so little else to do? I’ve hit a few walls myself too, but got used to it rather quickly and do enjoy the calm and quality time with our son Roan.
We’ve been home for about 2.5 week now and were blessed with beautiful weather. Since we have a large garden we could make perfectuse of the sunny days !
Have you seen Heel Holland Plakt on Facebook? Of course we also participate with decorating our windows to brighten up the world. Cheerful crafts, beautiful flowers and grateful texts, I’ve seen a lot of beautiful things pass by!
Now that our son is also at home 24/7 I have less time to jump behind the computer, he also wants attention 😉
How do you do that? Working at home with children?
Luckily he loves to sleep in and I often manage to get some work done early in the morning before he opens his eyes.
I hope everyone will find a way to enjoy themselves at home and still enjoy the beautiful moments together that you have now.
And a deep bow for all the hard workers who have to go out for whatever reason! We can’t do without you. Hopefully we can get back to normal soon.
Stay Save!
Love Mayera
